Acupuncture for Trigeminal Pain

2025-10-16

Acupuncture has been used for centuries and is increasingly being studied as a complementary treatment for trigeminal neuralgia and painful trigeminal neuropathy.

Current evidence suggests that some people may experience reduced pain intensity, fewer pain attacks, improved sleep, and lower stress levels, particularly when acupuncture is combined with standard medical treatment.

Although research findings remain mixed and the quality of evidence is limited, acupuncture appears to be generally safe when performed by a qualified practitioner. It should be viewed as an adjunct rather than a replacement for evidence-based medical care.
